Meet Nick - Your Driving Instructor

ExceLerate driver training school focuses on teaching safe and confident driving techniques to provide good driving habits for life, not just the skills to pass a driving test.

Nick Coulthurst, is the owner and qualified driving instructor at ExceLerate Driving School, and member of the NSW Driver Trainers Association, providing the most up to date rules and modern education techniques.

Nick has taught hundreds of students of different ages and stages in their driver journey, the skills necessary to become a safe and confident driver, in all conditions and terrains.

With a relaxed, friendly and easy-going manner, Nick develops a great rapport with all his students. This assists him in teaching not only the ‘new to driving’ student to successfully pass their drivers licence test, but also assist experienced international drivers gain their Australian drivers licence, or senior drivers to refresh their skills to pass their senior assessment.

Nick has a long history in working in Aviation and holds a Commercial Pilots’ Licence and Flight Instructors’ Rating as well as Air Traffic Control Licence. As an instructor both ‘on the ground’ and ‘in the skies’, Nick has a passion for ensuring all his students learn and practice the fundamentals of safe and confident driving.
